Hawaii is such an incredible place. Everywhere you look is the gorgeous water and sky and the beautiful tropical flowers and plants. I’m lucky to live on the west coast of the United States which makes a trip there easier to get to than say, Portugal or other sunny places that I have fallen in love with. Thought it would be fun to create a piece that captures the color of the magical water, sky and the hint of a sunset reflecting on any fluffy clouds hanging around. Living in Oregon where the sunshine is elusive sometimes and the sky hidden from view most of the year, Hawaii is such a treat to the soul.

Each custom stretched canvas begins with a 12-colour Giclée print, produced from a choice of substrates. We then make a custom wooden frame from European knotless pine - in any size needed up to a maximum of 3 metres - and stretch the rolled canvas print over it.
We use finger jointed canvas frames to create corner tension which helps to resist warping. For larger sizes, we add wooden ‘wedges’ to each corner; ensuring the canvas surface remains taut and allowing for easy re-stretching in future years.
All canvas prints are wrapped in a protective sleeve with individual plastic or cardboard guards added to each corner. Additional cardboard is secured over the print surface to minimize the risk of breakages or transit damage. Each print is then shipped in a heavy duty cardboard box.
